Seascape Storm

In this seascape, Monet used subdued colors and broad brushstrokes, including a palette knife, to experiment with technique. The composition is straightforward, with the horizon line dividing the canvas into sections of sea and sky. The sailboat, placed slightly off center, is shown with its flag flapping in the wind. While many of Monet's seascapes depict sunny scenes, this painting focuses on the darker elements of the sea, including the overcast skies, deep shadows, and rough waves. As someone who grew up on the coast of Normandy, Monet had a deep understanding of the sea's appearance in various weather conditions.

Why Archival Mounted?
I mostly choose our Archival Mounted printing option for my own use, and here's why.
First, the firm backing means the print can be framed without glass, avoiding bothersome glares! This is especially important for taking photos. Your mounted prints will be ready for Instagram.
Second, mounted prints don't need a frame at all. As long as they have something to lean on—a shelf, a stack of books, a windowsill—they're fine on their own. This lets you move your prints around your house, and easily swap them in and out!
